The first primary function of the Department is directly providing mental health services to Cattaraugus County citizens.
The second responsibility is the planning of services for all three disabilities: Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol, and Developmental Disabilities. Services for alcohol/substance abuse and developmental disabilities are contracted out to private nonprofit agencies.
